Mr. Murphy has 35 years experience in security management, security consulting, and law enforcement. He was the Director of Loss Prevention Operations for a $16B retail drug chain of 3000 stores before starting his consulting practice. The majority of his practice is as a Forensic Expert Witness in security related cases for both plaintiff and defense attorneys. His expertise allows him to testify in cases involving premises liability and inadequate security, negligent security and retail loss prevention. A great deal of his engagements involve the apartment industry. He also conducts security assessments for schools, warehouses, and apartment properties. His recent development of Project: CARE. Community Awareness, Response, & Education is directed towards the goal of educating all levels of apartment property management in the areas of crime prevention, security management, and litigation mitigation.
